Description: Occupational injuries and illnesses happen when workers are exposed to hazards in their workplaces. If you can identify and effectively control the hazards, you can significantly reduce work-related injuries and illness. If hazards cannot be eliminated, employers must do everything reasonably practicable to reduce the risk of injury in the workplace.
In order to determine if the hazards can be eliminated or the threat to workers reduced, the employer must ensure that their employees are able to identify and prioritize the level of risk posed by those hazards, and to establish controls based on the level of priority.
This safety training program was developed specifically to provide attendees with sufficient information about select hazardous substances and/or circumstances so they can effectively identify and minimize the risk they present.
