Excavator Operator Training
Course Description:
This training program is designed to provide excavator operators with a solid foundation in health and safety standards, preventative maintenance, and proper procedures for safe operation. The course consists of classroom theory with a written component and practical, hands-on operating experience.
Course content is delivered through multimedia presentations and interactive discussions, reinforced by workbooks to support learning. Participants will develop a thorough understanding of operating principles, ensuring they are fully prepared for both the written test and the practical assessment.
The Course Curriculum Covers:
- Safety regulations and standards for excavator operation,
- Excavator control fundamentals and handling techniques,
- Hazard identification and risk mitigation,
- Preventative maintenance and inspection procedures,
- Pre-operation site inspections and safety checks,
- Safe start-up, shut-down, and operating practices,
- Steering, maneuvering, and excavating techniques,
- Trenching and machine positioning methods,
- Secure transportation and load securement standards,
- Proper loading techniques and procedures.
