Fatigue Awareness and Lifestyle Training
Course Description:
We all struggle with fatigue. This 5-module course will deliver scientific evidence on the best way to optimize our personal health, safety and relationships while minimizing the impact of fatigue. It is designed to be engaging as well as educational. Learn about circadian rhythms, the impact of light exposure, the role of sleep, and practical, personal strategies that you can implement right away. This session will benefit everyone, but especially shift workers, those who manage shift workers, and those who live with shift workers.
Course Objectives:
This 5-module course will deliver scientific evidence on the best way to optimize our personal health, safety and relationships while minimizing the impact of fatigue.
Course Topics:
Each module is approximately 20 minutes each for a total training time of 2 hours.
Module 1 – Fatigue and Circadian Rhythms
Module 2 – The Science of Sleep
Module 3 – Personal Sleep Strategies
Module 4 – Performance Impairment and Alertness Strategies
Module 5 – Living a Shift Work Lifestyle
