Course description: Municipal Aquatic Centres pose a number of potential hazards for workers. Often, these hazards are over-looked, as there are nearly 100 time-loss injuries each year to aquatic staff in our Province. In addition to the number of potential hazards, most aquatic staff are young workers, the most vulnerable to accidents at work. This eight-hour course will provide the participant with the knowledge and skills needed to recognize, evaluate, and control hazards in pool settings.
