Practical Rigging Training
Course Overview:
This training program is designed to provide riggers with a solid foundation in health and safety standards, preventative maintenance and proper procedures for safe operation. The course consists of classroom theory with a written component and practical, hands-on experience. Course content is delivered through a PowerPoint presentation and interactive discussion and reinforced through workbooks and supplementary handouts. This program can be conducted as “theory awareness” or as full training with practical assessment included. Use of a compliant rigging gear (must pass inspection), hoist and hoist operators are required for practical to be completed.

- Safety regulations & standards
- Hoisting/rigging fundamentals & principles
- Hoisting/rigging hazard identification
- Inspection & application of rigging hardware & slings
