Senior Leaders Level 2: Psychological Health and Safety for Leaders
Course Description:
We have a critical imperative to enhance our psychological health, wellness and resilience – as individuals, and as organizations. Statistics don’t lie – in 2017, the World Health Organization identified mental health issues as being the leading cause of global disability. Since the global pandemic was announced in 2020, we have witnessed a 25% increase in rates of alcohol use, a 2x increase in rates of depression, and a 4x increase in rates of anxiety. Now, more than ever, we have a critical imperative to take action. In this session, senior leaders will learn evidence-based, actionable steps that can be taken to enhance the psychological health and safety of work environments according to the tenets of the National Standard of Canada; how to equip people leaders within their organization with the skills, strategies and approaches to effectively support the workforce; and steps senior leaders can take to enhance their own personal wellness, resilience and work-life harmony given the multiple competing demands they face in the modern-day work environment.
