Return-to-Work in Action: Balancing Programs, People, and Operational Success
This free half day session explores where Return-to-Work (RTW) programs succeed or break down in practice – typically at the supervisor and middle-manager level. Participants will examine how supervisors can effectively implement RTW plans, communicate with injured workers, and balance operational demands with recovery and support. Emphasis is placed on the critical role supervisors play in shaping psychological health and safety, worker confidence, engagement, and recovery. Moving beyond policies and paperwork, the session focuses on practical skills such as building trust, identifying suitable modified work, and navigating challenging conversations.
