Safety Alert: Working Around Mobile Equipment

BCMSA is committed to sharing information and resources that can help prevent injuries in the workplace. WorkSafeBC shared in their Recent work-related incidents reported to WorkSafeBC shared some details regarding a recent fatal incident in Local Government on January 7, 2022. We recommend sharing the below safety alert within your organizations and focusing on measures that can prevent this type of injury (working around mobile equipment)? It will be some time until we know more regarding the specifics of the January 7, 2022 incident, however in the meantime it’s very important to do all we can to prevent similar incidents from occurring.
