Special Offer – Pilot Course: Return to Work/Stay at Work for Supervisors/Managers
Pilot Course: Return to Work/Stay at Work for Supervisors/Managers
BCMSA is delighted to extend this invitation for individuals to join a complimentary pilot course facilitated by Diana Vissers, Occupational Health Consultant and Founder of Work to Wellness. The one-day session will be held at the Shadbolt Centre For The Arts, within the City of Burnaby, on April 4, 2024.
Supervisors/managers have a key role in organizations to oversee operations, guide and direct staff, manage performance and projects, and support and inspire the people they lead. The role holds a special opportunity to influence and respond when the people they lead experience health concerns. Research has shown that supervisors are significant influencers in how people recover from illness and injury; their actions matter deeply to the people they lead. This course will show supervisors/managers how to respond to health concerns in a way that builds trust and leads to better health and work outcomes. They will learn to be key participants in SAW/RTW planning and engage directly with the worker to explore accommodation and SAW/RTW even if the worker provides a doctor’s note saying they are to be off work.
Don’t miss out on this amazing opportunity!
Please Note: This course is exclusively available to municipal employees.
