Certificate Programs

BCMSA’s certificate programs are designed to provide municipal employees at all levels with the education and tools they need to support a strong health and safety culture. Whether you’re a frontline worker, a supervisor, a people leader, or a senior leader, our training pathways align with your role and responsibilities.

We offer targeted certificate programs including the Supervisors Safety Certificate, Municipal Worker Safety Certificate, Psychological Health & Safety Certificates for employees, people leaders, and senior leaders, and the Safety Leadership Certificate — all developed to support continuous learning and effective safety practices in the municipal sector.

With flexible learning formats including in-person, virtual instructor-led, and self-paced e-learning, we make it easy for municipalities to build internal capacity and invest in a safer, healthier workplace.

There is no need to register! When you have attended any qualifying course for a Program, our learning management system will automatically track your learning record. Once all course requirements, including the elective hours, have been met a certificate will be issued.

Note: Training must be completed within three years to achieve these certificates.
