Fatigue Management: Supervisor/Health and Safety Committees

Course Description:

The goal of this 8 hour workshop is to introduce Supervisors and H&S Committee members as to the impact of fatigue on municipal operations from a health, safety and performance perspective. Participants will be led through effective operational and preventative fatigue assessment protocols as well as risk mitigation strategies. Training is designed to be participatory and interactive in nature.

Course Objectives:

  • What is fatigue,
  • The Science of Fatigue (Sleep/Wake Cycle),
  • Introduction to a Fatigue Risk Management System (Strategic Framework),
  • Introduction to a Fatigue Risk Assessment Process (Tactical Approach),
  • The Path Forward.
